Department of Computer Science & Engineering

About the Department

The department of CSE was established in 2001 with an intake of 60 students in the UG Programme. The intake was enhanced to 90 in 2005. The Year 2006 the intake further enhanced to 120. The Department also runs Post-Graduate programme, M.Tech (Computer Science and Engineering), which started from year 2007 with an intake of 18 students.            

The Department has highly qualified and experienced faculty with Two Professors, Eight Assistant Professors and Seventeen Lectures. There are Two Doctorate in the Department. The Department has good infrastructure facilities and is equipped with full-fledged laboratories. The Department also has audio-visual facilities with one LCD and Two OHP’s for effective teaching. The staff members are deputed to participate in workshops, Conferences and refreshers courses to keep in place with recent developments in the field of Computer Science & Engineering.

The Department is accredited by AICTE-NBA.

• We have a Department Library which caters to the needs of the students & staff
• The Institute has an ISTE Faculty Chapter and the faculties of our department who are members of ISTE actively participate in the various activities of ISTE.
• The Department has established the Department Association named as C-SIIEA (Computer Students Interactive and Innovative Engineers Association).

As a part of the curriculum, Industrial visits are arranged for students of B.Tech ¾ (CSE) in II-Semester. Students of our Department actively participate in National-level Student Paper Presentation Contests being organized at various Engineering Colleges and Universities. A few of them have been awarded in these Paper presentations contests. The department has been organized National-level Technical Paper Presentation under the banner of Anurag Vista. Two such contests were organized in 2008 and 2009.

We are maintaining Departmental library along with centralized library ,which includes 182 titles, 206 Volumes, 3 National Journals, 10 International Journals, 7 Magazines, 68 Project Reports  and 275 Subject CDs.

We have lab facility with a total of 140 systems, 4 IBM Servers and all necessary softwares with licensed versions. We have separate P.G Lab with 24 systems with Wi-Fi connectivity and also have separate project lab exclusively for project development at B.Tech level and M.Tech level.

We have MOU’s with prestigious organizations like Oracle, Infosys and CMC.
